Mohali, Nov. 22 -- A man was found dead by suicide in a residential apartment on VIP Road, Zirakpur, on Thursday. Investigating officer Rajesh Chauhan said the victim had been living on rent in the flat for the past eight years. According to the information received, he was discovered hanging inside the premises, after which neighbours alerted the authorities. Police reached the spot and initiated inquest proceedings. Chauhan said they have not been able to trace any relatives or family members of the deceased so far. To allow time for identification and to locate any next of kin, the body has been kept in the mortuary of Dera Bassi civil hospital.
