New Delhi, May 19 -- A 40-year-old was arrested for allegedly threatening a 58-year-old businessman in IP Extension, east Delhi, police said on Sunday. Police said the accused barged into the victim's electronic equipment store on May 11 at 7pm with an accomplice and threatened to kill him in front of his minor sons. The two accused, in an attempt to intimidate the victim, told him they had killed a man named Bhure. "The accused demanded Rs.50 lakh from the victim and said they would kill him if the demand was not met. Five days later, they called the victim on WhatsApp. The businessman approached us on Saturday and we lodged a case immediately," said Abhishek Dhania, DCP (east). A police team looked through the store's CCTV footage and the victim's call data records. "Footage showed the accused talking to the victim. We identified them," a senior officer said.
