Mohali, Nov. 29 -- A 43-year-old man and his 75-year-old mother were assaulted by their neighbour and his five aides at Modern Valley, Kharar, after a brawl over fighting pet dogs. The complainant, Tarandeep Singh Gill, told police that he was taking his dog for a walk when he encountered his neighbour, Ashish, walking his dog. The two dogs got into a fight, and when he asked Ashish to control his dog, he responded, "You wait, I'll show you," and made phone call. Shortly afterwards, Tarandeep said, Ashish returned accompanied by another known man, Harsh, and several unidentified men in a Scorpio with no number plate. The group allegedly began assaulting him and Pradeep Gill, who was present at the scene. While Tarandeep and others tried to shield Pradeep, his 75-year-old mother, on hearing the commotion, came out of the house and was also struck. Onlookers described the attack as sudden and violent, noting that the men fled the scene before police arrived. A case was registered under various sections of the BNS. Police said they are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the attackers.HTC...
