LPG agency staffer punched in face, eye over 'delayed' refill
Mohali, April 24 -- A Zirakpur resident and his associates have been booked for allegedly assaulting an LPG agency's manager over "delayed" cylinder delivery, police said on Thursday. Rajinder Singh, manager of the agency on Ambala Road, stated that cylinders were being issued only to those consumers who had booked their refill on April 9 and 10. Accused Rahul Garg, who had booked his cylinder later, turned up on Tuesday and sought delivery immediately, he said. The manager declined to entertain his request, so Garg allegedly called his associates to the spot. The accused assaulted him and one of them punched him in face and right eye, the FIR mentioned.
The injured was referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital in Sector 32 from a health facility in Dhakoli. A case under under Sections 296 (obscene acts), 126(2) (wrongful restraint), 351(2) (criminal intimidation), 191(3) (rioting) and 190 (unlawful assembly) of the BNS has been registered against Rahul Garg, along with four to five unidentified persons....
