Launch public grievance portal by Dec 15: UT chief secy to officials
Chandigarh, Nov. 7 -- With an aim of effective redressal of public issues, the chief secretary, UT Chandigarh, H Rajesh Prasad, on Thursday directed the concerned officials to launch a public grievance portal by December 15 which will enable the citizens to register and track their complaints online.
Chief secretary was convening a meeting with senior officials of the Chandigarh administration to take stock of the ongoing projects. During the meeting, he also directed the engineering department and the municipal corporation to complete all road repair works by December 15. The chief secretary emphasised the importance of timely responses to references received from the administrator and instructed all departments to ensure strict accountability to prevent delays in official correspondence.
The chief secretary was also apprised of the implementation of the e-Office system across various departments. Departments were further advised to regularly review and monitor service delivery in accordance with the provisions of the Right to Service Commission, ensuring prompt and effective delivery of public services to citizens....
