Land of Many Colours: My India
India, Aug. 27 -- India, my land so bright,
Wrapped in colors of pure delight,
From the snowy peaks that kiss the skies,
To oceans where the seagull flies.
The farmer works in golden fields,
The earth so rich, the harvest yields,
The rivers sing a gentle song,
They guide our hearts as we move along.
The temples ring with morning prayer,
The fragrance of flowers fills the air,
The mosque and church stand side by side,
In unity, we take our pride.
From Rajasthan's desert glowing red,
To Kerala's boats on waters spread,
Each state a jewel, unique, apart,
Together they form India's heart.
We speak in voices, many, free,
Yet all unite in "We are We."
Our tricolor waves high above,
A symbol of strength, of peace, of love.
O India, my dearest land,
With dreams so vast, with hopes so grand,
I promise you, both heart and hand,
Forever proud, I'll always stand....
