Kerala court acquits three men accused of killing madrasa teacher
Kochi, March 31 -- The Kasaragod sessions court in Kerala on Saturday acquitted all three accused in the 2017 murder of Muhammad Riyas, a muezzin and madrasa teacher, inside a mosque in the district. Sessions judge KK Balakrishnan found the accused, Ajesh (27), Nidhin Kumar (26) and Akhilesh (32), all residents of Kelugudde in Kasaragod, not guilty of the charged offences, which included murder, trespass, promoting enmity between religious groups and intentionally defiling a place of worship.
