India, June 28 -- Actors Kamal Haasan, Ayushmann Khurrana and filmmaker Payal Kapadia are now part of a global club, having received invitations to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. With this, they join the likes of actor-singer Ariana Grande and actors Sebastian Stan, and Jeremy Strong as this year's invitees - a cohort of 534 artistes, filmmakers and technicians in total. The roster of new invitees also includes casting director Karan Mally, cinematographer Ranabir Das, costume designer Maxima Basu and documentary filmmaker Smriti Mundhra. Of the invitees, 41% are women, 45% from underrepresented communities, and 55% from 60 countries and territories outside the United States. wThe class of 2025 also includes Hollywood actors Dave Bautista, Jason Momoa, Aubrey Plaza, Andrew Scott, Gillian Anderson, Monica Barbaro, Kieran Culkin, and Mikey Madison.
