Ludhiana, Sept. 26 -- Ojas Sund, a Class 10 student of Jesus' Sacred Heart School, DX-1, South City, has made everyone proud by securing 3 Gold Medals and 1 Bronze Medal at the CBSE National Swimming Championship held at Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak. Ojas became the only swimmer from North India to win 3 Golds and 1 Bronze in the CBSE National Swimming Championship. The star performer clinched 3 Gold Medals in the 50-metre Freestyle, 50-metre Backstroke, and 50-metre Butterflystroke categories respectively, along with 1 Bronze Medal in the 50-metre Breaststroke category. Before reaching the national stage, Ojas had already made a name for himself with an impressive track record. Starting with the Punjab State Aquatic Championship in 2021, he clinched 3 Gold medals. He went on to win a Silver medal at the National Swimming Championship held in Bangalore the same year. In 2022 and 2023, at the Punjab State Championships held in Mohali, he dominated the pool by winning 5 Gold medals each year. Continuing his winning streak, at the Punjab State Championship held at PAU in the year 2024, he secured another 5 Gold medals and set new records in the 50m Freestyle and 50m Butterfly events, clocking times of 25.91 seconds and 26.14 seconds respectively. In 2025, at the Punjab State Juniors and Seniors Championship held again at PAU, Ojas once more claimed 5 Gold medals and broke records in the 50m Backstroke and 200m Backstroke, finishing both in an impressive 29.30 seconds and 2 minutes 30.13 seconds respectively.
