Jat Sabha seeks 40% profit share from Manimajra land auction
Chandigarh, Oct. 11 -- Members of the Jat Sabha, Chandigarh, representing people whose agricultural land in Manimajra was acquired more than three decades ago, have written to the UT administrator Gulab Chand Kataria, urging him to put the proposed e-auction of seven acres of land on hold until their "rights" are considered.
In a memorandum, the Sabha expressed satisfaction that the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh (MCC) is finally putting the land to use, but they raised an objection to being excluded from the benefits arising out of its sale.
