J&K govt shuts, restricts access to 48 tourist destinations
Srinagar, April 30 -- The J&K government has closed or restricted unhindered access to nearly 50 tourist destinations and trekking trails in vulnerable areas of the Kashmir Valley citing security reasons after last week's Pahalgam terror attack, officials said on Tuesday.
The tourist destinations that have been down for the time being in view of the threat perception include 48 of the 87 meadows, trekking trails, hilly areas, parks or gardens in Kashmir, officials said, adding that the government decided to close these destinations for the "safety of tourists" following April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam.P4...
