Jalandhar woman dies in Oman, two booked
Jalandhar, May 5 -- Days after a 23-year-old woman from Jalandhar died under mysterious circumstances in Oman, two travel agents have been booked for illegal trafficking and committing fraud with her.
Ankita, a resident of Abadpura, went to Oman in October 2025 for a domestic help job, as promised by travel agents, Jaskaran Singh and Asha Raninder, said police.
According to the FIR, upon reaching Oman, Ankita told her family that her employer snatched her passport and was harassing her. On April 24, the family learnt of her death through her friend. Her body reached Jalandhar on Sunday.HTC...
