Jalandhar, June 13 -- Ruling that Jet Airways had violated guidelines by not providing free meals, accommodation and transport facilities to a Jalandhar-based complainant whose flight was delayed by a day due to bad weather, the district consumer disputes redressal forum on Wednesday directed the airlines to pay Rs.17,845 along with a 12% interest from June 25, 2016 onwards, to the passenger.

The forum also directed the airline to pay compensation for harassment and litigation expenses amounting to Rs.25,000 to the complainant.
