India, Nov. 7 -- A ctors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are reuniting after decades in what will be Rajinikanth's 173rd project. The official announcement came Wednesday via Kamal's social media, where he shared pictures with Rajinikanth and a handwritten note revealing the release date and director. Contrary to speculation, the film will not be helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj or Nelson Dilipkumar. Actor-filmmaker Sundar C will direct the film, which will be headlined by Rajinikanth and produced by Kamal. Announcing the project on X, Kamal wrote: "Like wind, like rain, like river. Let's shower, let's enjoy, let's live! Superstar Rajinikanth will star in the movie directed by Sundar C and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International."
