Ludhiana, Oct. 14 -- Ryan International School, Jamalpur, had the honour of welcoming Himanshu Jain, IAS, deputy commissioner of Ludhiana, for an enlightening interactive session with the students. The deputy commissioner received a grand welcome from the Ryanites, followed by special prayer invoking the blessings of the Almighty for his continued success and guidance. In the formal felicitation ceremony, Jain was warmly felicitated by the principal Manasi Thapar. During his interaction, he shared his inspirational journey - from being a BTech graduate in Computer Science and working with reputed companies in the United States to returning to India to serve his nation. A 2017-batch IAS officer, he took charge as deputy commissioner of Ludhiana in March 2025. Jain motivated the students with practical success tips. He emphasised the importance of consistency, discipline, and time management, advising them to start their day early, stay physically active, and focus on their academics with dedication. He urged them to find self-motivation by keeping their long-term goals and their parents' happiness in mind. Sharing personal experiences from his UPSC preparation, he encouraged them to stay positive and limit time spent on social media for better productivity. The question-answer session was highly engaging, as students eagerly sought guidance.
