India tour & One Big Bengaluru Moment

kon turned Mumbai into a full-blown 2000s nostalgia party on Sunday night as he headlined the final leg of his India tour. The Grammy-nominated singer, who kicked off his 2025 India run in Delhi on November 9 followed by Bengaluru on November 14, closed the tour in the city on November 16 with a power-packed set filled with hits, surprises and playful crowd moments.
"Are you ready to party?" Akon shouted as he opened his Mumbai show, and the crowd didn't need a second invitation. The singer delivered a Mumbai-exclusive treat when he performed Chammak Challo, the chartbuster he originally recorded for Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor's RA.One. The arena erupted as soon as the opening beats dropped, with fans singing along word for word.
Akon's setlist doubled down on nostalgia, spanning his biggest global hits: Beautiful, Smack That, I Wanna Love You, Belly Dancer, Dangerous, Ghetto, Blame It On Me and more, turning the venue into a massive dance floor.
But the highlight of the night was Akon's inventive take on crowd interaction. Just a day after a viral incident in Bengaluru, where an overexcited fan pulled down his pants mid-crowd surf, the singer appeared to respond with humour. This time, he rolled across the Mumbai audience inside a giant transparent bubble, drawing wild cheers as he floated over fans while waving and smiling.
Outside the bubble, Akon still made time for personal fan moments, moving through the pit, shaking hands, clicking photos and singing with concertgoers who had waited years to see him live again....
