Dehradun/Hyderabad/Muzaffarnagar/Jalpaiguri, Sept. 11 -- At least 403 tourists from a host of states including Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and MP, were confirmed to have been stranded across various locations in Nepal, amid violent protests in the country. Several states in India launched special cells to assist the stranded residents, besides stepping up vigil along the border, after nationwide restrictive orders and curfew were imposed in Nepal. The Delhi-Kathmandu international bus service operated by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) was suspended. Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu confirmed that about 217 Telugu people are stranded in Nepal.
