The day's events made the venue feel like a miniature representation of India's cultural diversity. A highlight of the morning was a quiz contest moderated by Dr Saurabh Bhatt from Jaipur, which saw participation from over 400 students from various parts of the tricity.
The stage performances featured a rich array of folk dances including Sirmauri Naati (Himachal Pradesh), Dhamali (Jammu & Kashmir), Gudum Baja (Madhya Pradesh), Gaur Maria (Chhattisgarh), Pung Cholom (Manipur), Luddi (Punjab), and Natua (West Bengal), all of which delighted the audience. Earlier, a folk musical symphony and folk dances from various states kept the audience hooked for hours; the musical symphony, directed by NZCC director Mohammed Furqan Khan, was the show-stopper performance of the day. The evening saw Jaipur's Sufi singer Jitti Jagjit perform hit numbers such as "Sajjan raazi ho jave", "Chhaap tilak sab chheeni", "Mamla gadbad hai", etc, which evoked a strong response from the crowd. However, the star performer of the evening was Sufi legend Kanwar Grewal, who performed hit numbers like "Ishq bulle nu nachawe yaar" and "Mast bana denge beeba".
Products ranging from perfumes, purses, designer wears, crockery items, wooden furniture and traditional women wear were in high demand. Food enthusiasts enjoyed a variety of delectable dishes from across the country, while tiny tots had fun with camel rides and other activities.
