Chandigarh, Aug. 25 -- Northridge International School celebrated the 79th Independence Day of India with great patriotism and enthusiasm, honouring the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and reaffirming the spirit of unity and nationalism. The celebration began with the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag by the principal Garima S Bhardwaj, and the guest of honour Jatinder Singh followed by the National Anthem sung by students and staff, creating an environment of pride and reverence. A vibrant cultural programme was presented by the students, featuring patriotic songs, group dances, a skit depicting India's freedom struggle, and speeches in English and Hindi reflecting the significance of the day. The melodies and performances stirred a deep sense of national pride among all present. In her address, principal Garima S Bhardwaj urged the students to uphold the values of democracy, peace, and equality, and to contribute positively to the nation's progress. She encouraged them to be responsible citizens and carry forward the legacy of our great leaders.
