In talks with HP CM for complete rollback of entry tax, says Warring
Sangrur, April 8 -- Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Tuesday said talks were in place with Himachal Pradesh chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for a complete roll-back of the entry tax for Punjab vehicles.
Speaking at a gathering to observe the death anniversary of former Punjab finance minister Vijay Inder Singla's father, Sant Ram Singla (former MP of Congress), Warring said following the Congress' direct intervention, the Himachal government reduced the entry tax, adding that he will soon meet CM Sukhu for a complete roll-back of the tax.
He also claimed that the situation of Punjab had become the most "pitiable".
He accused the ruling AAP government of failing to provide concrete solutions for the state's massive debt and crumbling law and order, alleging that leaders were distracting the public with other unimportant issues.htc...
