Illegal colony structures razed in two villages in Panchkula
Panchkula, Nov. 18 -- The team led by district town planner (DTP) Sanjay Narang conducted an enforcement operation in the urban area on Monday. The action targeted and demolished illegal development in two villages. In Barwala village, the road network and demarcation pillars of one unauthorised colony, spanning six acres, were razed. Similarly, in Mauli village, the road network of another illegal colony, spread across four acres, was destroyed using a JCB machine.
The demolition drive was completed smoothly in the presence of several officials, including duty magistrate Raghav, block development and panchayat officer (BDPO) of Barwala Ashok Kumar, assistant town planners Ashok Kumar and Dimpy Rathi, as well as a heavy police contingent.
The department emphasised the mandatory requirement for citizens to obtain prior permission from the director, town and country planning department, Haryana, before undertaking any construction or developing a colony. Officials stressed that strict legal action will continue to be taken against any individual found involved in unauthorised construction or the development of illegal colonies without the necessary permits....
