Mohali, Aug. 26 -- Infant Jesus Convent School celebrated the 79th Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm, patriotic fervour, and heartfelt gratitude towards the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. The school premises came alive with tricolour decorations, resonating with the spirit of freedom and unity. The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by dignitaries school manager Reverend Father Tharthius and Respected Principal Sister Vanitha Veena, followed by the singing of the National Anthem that filled every heart with pride and showcased their respect and love for the motherland. The cultural segment of the celebration was presented by students of class 9 which indicated a vibrant blend of patriotic songs, thematic dances, heartfelt speech and thought-provoking skit, each portraying the rich heritage of our nation and the struggles endured to achieve freedom. Students also presented soulful poem dedicated to the valour of our national heroes.
