Ludhiana, Aug. 19 -- BCM School, Basant Avenue, commemorated the 79th Independence Day of India with a series of events that radiated patriotism, unity and pride. The day unfolded with a solemn assembly dedicated to the memory of the nation's valiant freedom fighters, followed by the ceremonial flag hoisting graced by Anand Sobti, the chief guest. Gurpreet Kaur, dean administration, delivered a warm welcome speech, setting the tone for the cultural programme that ensued. In a unique blend of creativity and patriotism, students participated in the Flavours of Freedom activity, where they prepared nutritious tri-colour dishes. This activity not only symbolised the national flag but also promoted the importance of healthy eating. Additionally, the students took part in a Card & Badge Making Activity, crafting tricolour themed designs to express their profound gratitude towards the armed forces. The attraction of the day was an Inter-House Display Board Competition, where students brilliantly showcased India's journey from 1947 to 2047, highlighting the country's progress and future aspirations.
