Hry saw highest GST growth among all states in last fiscal: Govt
Chandigarh, April 2 -- The Haryana government on Wednesday said that it has recorded the highest growth in state goods and service tax (state GST) collections among all states in the financial year 2025-26. An official spokesperson, quoting a report released by Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), said that Haryana recorded a post-settlement SGST collection of Rs.48,289 crore in 2025-26 financial year, reflecting a growth of 21.5% compared to Rs.39,743 crore in 2024-25 financial year. This growth is significantly higher than the national average of 5.7%, highlighting state performance in tax collection.
The spokesperson said that Haryana's total GST collection increased by 8.6 % in 2025-26, which is higher than the national domestic GST growth rate of 6.4%.
Haryana is ranked fifth among all states and Union Territories in terms of gross domestic GST collection.
"Our growth in GST collections is due to vibrant economic activity, expansion of the taxpayer base, and improved compliance through analytics-driven monitoring.
