Mohali, Oct. 29 -- A late-night brawl at GBS Apartments in Kharar turned violent when the housing society president, Kulwinder Singh, was allegedly assaulted and abducted by a group of men around 1 am on Sunday. Police registered a case on Monday. Singh said he stepped out of his apartment after hearing loud arguments among a few men in the society premises. "When I asked them to stop, they began abusing me. Soon, around 20 people surrounded me and started beating me," he alleged. Police said the assailants then forced Singh into a car, drove him to another locality, and released him after threatening to kill him. The identified accused have been named as Narinder, Kamal, Nitin Sharma, and Vishal, along with about 15 unidentified accomplices.
