India, Sept. 16 -- Director Neeraj Ghaywan's Homebound, which received a standing ovation at the recently concluded 50th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), has been announced as the second runner-up for the festival's prestigious International People's Choice Award. South Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook's black comedy thriller No Other Choice won the honour, TIFF announced on Sunday. The first runner-up went to Danish-Norwegian director Joachim Trier's Sentimental Value. Reacting to the announcement, Neeraj took to social media to share, "Super chuffed to announce that our film just won the @tiff_net International People's Choice Award as a second runner-up!!" Filmmaker Karan Johar, who backed the project, also expressed his happiness on Instagram: "Always more special when it's the people's choice. our film is a story we are all so so proud of and to see it being loved, accepted and appreciated across the globe, across language or any barriers - it is surreal!
