Home guard dragged by van as driver tries to avoid checking
Gurugram, June 3 -- A home guard who was accompanying traffic police officials checking vehicles at a check post in Ballabhgarh in Faridabad, was dragged for more than a kilometer by a minivan, police said on Monday.
The incident took place at 2.30pm on Saturday at the T-point on the Ballabhgarh-Sohna road, they added.
Investigators said that traffic police officials at the spot chased the driver of the minivan and finally managed to catch him when he entered the compound of a factory, with the home guard called Gaurav (single name) still hanging from the vehicle.
The driver, later identified as Kundan Kumar, 26, was arrested from the spot and was sent to judicial custody after being produced before a Faridabad court on Sunday. According to the police, Kumar belonged to Barhariya, Bihar but lived in Tirkha Colony in Faridabad....
