Chandigarh, June 29 -- The city recorded 28.7 mm rain till 11:30pm on Saturday, bringing the maximum temperature down to 33.9degC from Friday's 37.2. The minimum temperature dropped to 23.8degC from Friday's 29.2degC. India Meteorological department has issued a warning of heavy rainfall in Chandigarh for Sunday and Monday. The IMD has issued an orange alert for Sunday and Monday due to possibility of heavy rain. The downpour is likely to be accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning at isolated places. Meanwhile, Saturday night's rain caused waterlogging and traffic snarls at several places.
