India, May 6 -- Actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan, who launched his nephew Imran Khan with the cult classic Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na (2008), has rejected director Abbas Tyrewala's pitch for a sequel. Abbas, who made his directorial debut with the film, told Imran the pitch during an interaction on the YouTube channel Aamir Khan Talkies: "Very shortly after the film's release, I went to Aamir with an idea for the sequel - at some point, Jai and Aditi (Imran and Genelia Deshmukh's characters) would fight. I told him, 'Let's start the sequel at the point when Jai and Aditi are on the verge of separation. Jai will bump into Meghna (Jai's former love interest played by Manjari Fadnnis) at a party and he is drunk.'" However, Aamir had a very strong reaction. "Aamir told me, 'Never refer to this movie again. I don't want to hear anything about the sequel if that's the direction you're going in'," Abbas said, adding, "I don't know how to reboot fairytales. I haven't seen them working well." While both Imran and Abbas admitted to lacking the will for a sequel, they seemed keen on the idea of a cast reunion. However, fans are not on the same page."When I am walking, people come and grab me by the shirt and ask, 'Are you guys going to make a sequel'?" Imran said Abbas chimed in, "That's my Instagram DM every day."htc...
