Chandigarh, April 11 -- The Punjab and Haryana high court has sought data regarding infrastructure, vacant posts and number of drop out students in the last 10 years from UT administration. While reviving a petition filed in the year 2012, highlighting infrastructural issues in government schools, the high court bench of chief justice Sheel Nagu and justice Sanjiv Berry said that the PIL expresses the concern raised by government schools in Chandigarh and given the importance of the issues raised, the matter be listed for hearing in urgent list. While posting the matter for hearing on April 27, the court further directed that the UT to file fresh status report with regard to all aspects, including infrastructure, vacant posts of teachers, number of dropouts during the last ten years as well as upgradation of all the government schools in the city....
