A special NIA court, on July 22, granted Rashid custody parole to attend the ongoing Parliament session between July 24 and August 4, subject to him bearing the travel cost, returning to jail in the evening and not having access to mobile phones to speak to the media. Rashid filed a plea seeking directions to set aside the order to bear travel expenses and other arrangements. A bench of justices Vivek Chaudhary and Shalinder Kaur issued a notice to NIA on the plea and fixed July 29 as the next date of hearing. In his petition, the MP noted that authorities were demanding Rs.1.44 lakh per day and had already raised a bill of Rs.17 lakh for him to attend Parliament, adding that it was not possible for him to arrange the substantial amount.htc...
