Chandigarh, Dec. 27 -- After the Punjab and Haryana high court (HC) fixed a 15-day timeline for Chandigarh administration to appoint a consultant to design the new block at the HC under the holistic development plan for complex expansion, the UT on Friday invited online tenders to select a consultant. According to the official expression of interest, issued by the UT engineering department, the selected firm will be responsible for comprehensive architectural and technical design services, along with construction supervision for the holistic development of the HC complex. The site is part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Capitol Complex. The tender will be processed through an online two-bid system. Interested firms are required to submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs.43.75 lakh online. The last date of submission of bids is January 5, 2025 at 10 am while the bids will be opened the same day at 11 am.
