Bhiwani, May 11 -- Veterinary livestock development assistants (VLDAs) have decided to boycott animal vaccination drives until the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the Centre is fully implemented on the ground. The decision was taken during a meeting of the veterinary services association members held in Bhiwani on Sunday. Workers alleged that staff members were being pressured by the department to carry out FMD (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) and HS (Haemorrhagic Septicaemia) vaccination drives sans adequate support and safety measures.
