Rohtak, June 17 -- The body of a 23-year-old model was found in a canal in Kharkhauda area in Sonepat district of Haryana on Monday, police officials said, adding that a 30-year-old man has been arrested in this connection. The woman, Sheetal Chaudhry, who also used the alias of Simmy and worked as a model making music videos, lived with her sister in Panipat, police said. On the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, the police received information about the woman's body being spotted in the canal in Khanda village. ".she was identified as Sheetal on Monday," Sonepat assistant commissioner of police, headquarters, Ajit Singh said. Her throat was slit, the ACP added. Singh said her sister, Neha, filed a missing complaint on the night of June 15, saying Sheetal left home to shoot a music video on June 14, but did not return. In her complaint, Neha also accused a person, Sunil, of killing her. She said before Sheetal started making music videos, she used to work at his hotel in Karnal. "Sunil reached the shoot venue on June 14. he had been mounting pressure on Sheetal to marry him...She told me over video call that Sunil had assaulted her," Neha said....
