Chandigarh, Oct. 20 -- The Haryana government on Sunday announced an increase in the state advised price (SAP) of sugarcane. An official spokesperson said that SAP for the early variety of sugarcane has been increased from Rs.400 per quintal to Rs.415 per quintal while the SAP for the late variety has been increased from Rs.393 per quintal to Rs.408 per quintal. The spokesperson further said that with this hike Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini has offered the highest sugarcane price in the country, aimed at enhancing farmers' income.
