Haryana govt docs to go on down strike on November 25
Chandigarh, Nov. 16 -- Government doctors in Haryana will go on a pen down strike on November 25 to register their protest against the government's move to start direct recruitment of SMOs and not implementing modified assured career progression (ACP) structure at par with the Centre.
The decision was taken at a meeting of Haryana Civil Medical Services Association (HCMSA) held on Saturday. A statement said it was also decided to request the chief minister and health minister to convene a meeting next week and get these issues resolved amicably. "Despite strong political commitment demands of doctors are not being fulfilled due to bureaucratic hurdles. In case there is no positive response from government, then HCMS doctors will be forced to go on a path of agitation. This included a two-hour pen down strike on November 25 followed by a complete shutdown of all health services including emergency and post mortem at a subsequent date,'' said the statement.htc...
