Chandigarh, April 17 -- Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday launched the self-enumeration process under the first phase of Census 2027, saying that the census is a significant national exercise. Addressing a press conference after launching the self-enumeration, Saini said that the tagline of Census 2027, "Our Census, Our Development," reflects the importance of this nationwide campaign. The self-enumeration will continue from April 16 to April 30, while house listing and housing census activities will be conducted from May 1 to May 30. He said that the self-enumeration process is simple, secure and time-saving. He said that the first phase of Census in Haryana will be conducted from May 1 to May 30 during which house listing and housing census will be carried out. The CM clarified that all information collected during the census is kept confidential and is used only for statistical purposes.
