Chandigarh, Oct. 28 -- Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday said that police personnel will be rewarded for their exemplary work against drug abuse, while officials showing laxity will face strict action. Reviewing the 'Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan' scheme, Saini said that the impact of action against negligent officials must be visible. "Police personnel in areas with commendable work will be honoured and strict action will be taken where negligence is observed," he said. Saini also called for strengthening the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau in border areas and asked all departments to intensify the joint campaign against drugs, focusing on enforcement, de-addiction, and awareness, with active involvement of panchayats. htc...
