Panchkula, Aug. 6 -- Hansraj Public School, Panchkula and the Panchkula Arts and Literature Circle, organised 'Suvichaar Debating Championship 2025', a flagship inter-school event, which concluded with a vibrant showcase of youthful intellect, passionate articulation, and values-based dialogue. The event began with a formal opening that set the tone for the day, a celebration of words, wisdom, and the power of meaningful discourse. The welcome address highlighted the spirit of Suvichaar as a platform for nurturing ethical reasoning and civic courage among young speakers from across the tricity. The occasion was graced by General VP Malik, PVSM, AVSM, former Chief of Army Staff and chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee, as the chief guest. In his inspiring address, General Malik commended the participants for their confident voices and urged them to use their communication skills for nation-building and community leadership. "India needs young minds who can speak with conviction, act with integrity, and think critically. I see that promise here today," he noted. The guest of honour, Vivek Atray, former IAS officer, author, and TEDx speaker, lauded the initiative, remarking, "Suvichaar is not just a debating platform - it is a training ground for reflective thinking and graceful expression. These students are future leaders in the making." The championship witnessed a powerful final round of debating where five finalist teams, shortlisted from an initial pool of 16 participating schools, presented compelling arguments on thought-provoking themes. Each team showcased strong content, persuasive delivery, and presence of mind during the rebuttal round, moderated by the judging panel.
