Hansraj Public School organises blood donation drive on campus
Panchkula, May 5 -- Hansraj Public School, Sector-6, Panchkula, organised a blood donation camp on its campus on 2nd May 2026, alongside the first parent-teacher Meeting of the academic session.
The camp was conducted in collaboration with Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Chandigarh, ensuring strict adherence to all safety, hygiene, and medical protocols. The event received an encouraging response, with a total of 92 units of blood collected, reflecting the community's commitment to service and compassion.
Parents, alumni, faculty members, and members of the local community participated wholeheartedly in the noble cause. The medical team ensured a smooth process, conducting pre-donation health screenings and providing post-donation care and refreshments for all donors. Sharing their experience, Prashant Singla and Shweta Singla , parents of Dhanish and Ruhaan Class UKG Yellow and 5, expressed,"Such initiatives help nurture sensitivity and a sense of responsibility in children. They learn that education goes beyond academics and includes giving back to society." Setting an inspiring example, the Principal led the initiative by actively participating and overseeing the arrangements. Addressing the gathering, she remarked, "True education lies in developing sensitivity towards others and understanding our role in society.
