Hansraj Public School hosts blood camp cum parent-teacher meeting at campus
Panchkula, May 6 -- Hansraj Public School, Sector-6, hosted a blood donation camp, in conjunction with the first parent-teacher meeting of the academic session. The event was conducted with the purpose of supporting the urgent need for blood in hospitals and healthcare centres.
Organised in collaboration with the department of transfusion medicine, PGIMER, Chandigarh, the camp adhered to the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
The initiative saw support, resulting in the collection of 102 units of blood-a testament to the community's compassion and sense of duty. The drive witnessed participation from parents, alumni, faculty members, and people from various walks of life. "We feel proud that our child is being shaped into a well-rounded individual," shared the parents of Vidhi and Reyansh, students of class 8 and 3 respectively.
Principal Jaya Bhardwaj was the first to donate blood and closely monitored the arrangements. She said, "Empathy and collective action are the pillars of a sustainable society. By engaging in causes beyond the classroom, our students learn to become thoughtful and conscientious citizens."...
