Chandigarh, April 11 -- The drugs control department has seized 540 tablets of Alprax 0.25 (Alprazolam tablets IP 0.25 mg) and 10 medical termination of pregnancy (MTP) kits used for abortion from a chemist shop named, Kapoor Medicos, Sector 40 C. The chemist shop lacked to show proper documents of purchase and sale of medicines. The department raided the shop on Wednesday. During the raid, the firm was inspected and records of various habit forming drugs were examined. The qualified person was absent at the time of inspection. The purchase and sale record was not maintained by the firm. Habit forming/liable to misused drugs were seized under the provisions of Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940....
