Chandigarh, July 8 -- A seminar on the legal awareness campaign for the elimination of violence against women was organised at Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 40-C, under the leadership of principal Shama Kukal, in collaboration with the school's legal literacy club. Advocate Sudhir Kumar Pandey from the Punjab and Haryana High Court sensitised the students about various legal provisions related to domestic violence, the maintenance and welfare of parents and senior citizens Act, the Dowry Prohibition Act, and the POCSO, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
