AMRITSAR, Nov. 20 -- An ex-serviceman, Gurpreet Singh (43), who was employed as a jail security guard, shot his wife and mother-in-law dead with a "stolen" AK-47 and later turned the gun on himself in Gurdaspur on Wednesday, said police. The women have been identified as Akwinder Kaur (40) and her mother Gurjit Kaur (65). The jail guard was locked in a longstanding marital dispute. Akwinder had been living at her parent's house in Guthi village for the past few years. According to police, Gurpreet, who belonged to Dalia Ramanjan village of Gurdaspur, was employed as a security guard at Central Jail, Gurdaspur.
