A Naib Subedar in Indian Army, Gulveer says, "Maine apne talent ke oopar poori shiddat ke saath kaam kara hai aur kabhi aasan rasta nahin dhoondha," he says.
Gulveer, who hails from Uttar Pradesh's Sirsa village in Aligarh district, adds, "Par abhi bhi main woh izzat aur sammaan dhoondh raha hoon... Har athlete chahta hai ki uski mehnat aur achievements desh ke naam ho aur uska desh har kadam par uska poora saath de. I hope these medals finally get me the recognition I deserve."
Speaking about the confidence he had in himself, he says, "My focus has only been on what I do on the track. I've sacrificed a lot and that gave me the confidence before the tournament to win multiple medals for India."...
