Grey's Anatomy actor Eric Dane shares ALS diagnosis update
India, June 14 -- Actor Eric Dane, widely recognised for playing Mark Sloan on the medical drama series Grey's Anatomy, has finally opened up at length on his ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) diagnosis.
In an emotional interview with the talk show Good Morning America, he said, "I wake up every day and I'm immediately reminded that this is happening. It's not a dream."
The 30-second teaser of the show further saw Eric breaking down, and sharing with the host Diane Sawyer that he remains optimistic about his future. "I don't think this is the end of my story. I don't feel like this is the end of me," he adds.
The 52-year-old had revealed that he had this progressive neurological disease earlier this year in April to People. "I have been diagnosed with ALS. I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter. I kindly ask that you give my family and I privacy during this time."
Eric was married to actor-model Rebecca Gayheart; they divorced in 2018. Together, they have two children, Billie (15) and Georgia (13).
He is also currently filming for the third season of popular show Euphoria, where he plays Cal Jacobs, father of Jacob Elordi's Nathaniel "Nate" Jacobs. htc...
