Chandigarh, Feb. 24 -- Green Castle Smart School teacher Madhu Verma, views the New Education Policy (NEP) as a progressive and much-needed reform in India's education system. One of its major strengths is the focus on holistic development rather than rote learning. The emphasis on experiential learning, critical thinking, skill-based education, and flexibility in subject choice can help students discover their true interests and talents. Early childhood education and mother-tongue-based learning in primary classes are also positive steps that can strengthen foundational learning. However, the NEP also presents certain challenges. Its successful implementation requires well-trained teachers, adequate infrastructure, and sufficient funding, which may be difficult for many government and rural schools.
