Hoshiarpur/Chandigarh, June 7 -- The Punjab government on Friday extended the tenure of three vice-chairmen of state economic policy and planning board (SEPPB), Amrit Sagar Mittal, Rajinder Gupta and Sunil Gupta, for another three years from August 23 to August 22, 2028. The terms and conditions of their appointment will remain the same. The extension has been granted with the approval of the chief minister. Mittal is the vice-chairman of the Sonalika Group of industries and is currently serving as chairman of ASSOCHAM's Northern Region Development Council, national president of the Tractor and Mechanisation Association (TMA), and is also a member of the Punjab pollution control board. Rajinder Gupta is the founder and chairman of the multi-billion-dollar Trident Group, while Sunil Gupta is a chartered accountant and a former chairperson of the Chandigarh chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).htc...
