Gov't should take quick action: IFTDA prez on Pak artiste accounts being unblocked
India, July 3 -- After a two-month ban following the Pahalgam terror attack, many Pakistani artistes' social media accounts are now accessible in India.
Insta accounts of actors like Marwa Hocane, Saba Qamar, Ahad Raza Mir, Yumna Zaidi, and Danish Taimoor are visible. However, Fawad Khan, Hania Aamir, Atif Aslam and Mahira Khan's accounts remain blocked.
This development has not gone down well with Indian film bodies. Ashoke Pandit, president of the Indian Film and Television Directors' Association (IFTDA), says that they plan to write to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting demanding action.
"We want them to take quick action against this. There should be a separate wing to handle this; some legal action should be taken by the authorities. If they don't take any action now, things will come back to zero," he tells us....
