Chandigarh, Nov. 8 -- Shiromani Akali Dal's (SAD) Delhi unit president Paramjit Singh Sarna on Friday urged the central and state governments of Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi to release Sikh prisoners on parole for a month so they may join the community in commemorating the 350th anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur's martyrdom. Sarna said that the participation of Sikh prisoners, who have long awaited justice and clemency, would carry profound emotional and spiritual significance for the Panth.
